DCA Supported Community-Based Disaster Risk Reduction And Climate Change (Satkhira) Project

This project started in order to facilitate resilience building of target vulnerable people who severely affected by water logging, landless and marginal farmers who had no regular source of income and also families with disabled members. In a nutshell, project purpose was to build resilience of target people so that they are able to face future disasters and improve their quality of life and livelihoods.

  • Budget: 19, 321, 119 (2017-2018)

Accomplishments:

  • 2 CRAs (community risk assessment) were performed
  • People received cash as necessary unconditional startup
  • People got aware regarding hygiene promotion and menstrual health management
  • People were trained regarding  sack bag, tower method of vegetables gardening, integrated mini pond of fish, poultry and vegetable farming
