With support of Kinder Not Hilfe (KNH), Dushtha Shasthya Kendra (DSK) responded to support Rohingya communities in the camp 16, 17 and 18 since May 2018 into three phases. In the 1st (May to Aug 2018) and 2nd phase (Sept to Oct 2018), the interventions were concentrated only to support emergency assistance under the project titled “Life Saving Humanitarian WASH and Child Care Assistance to Rohingya Refugee”.
Currently, the 3rd phase is running in the same locations from Jan 2019 with extended focus: “Provision of Child Protection and WASH Services for Rohingya Children and Families Sheltered in Camps of Ukhiya, Coxs Bazar, Bangladesh’, which will be ended in Dec 2019. The project is aimed to protect children from violence and water borne diseases targeting 8,356 Rohinga people (M: 3,613 & F: 4,743), off which Children (5-11) is 2,523 (M: 1,011 & F: 1,512), Adolescents (11-17) is 2,077 (M: 962 & F: 1,115), and Adult 3,756 (M: 1,640 & F: 2,116). The project is expected to bring 2 specific outcomes (OC) and 4 outputs (OP) as the changes/results at the end of the projects:
