DSK established its training cell in 1999. The initial aim was to provide a suitable area to train DSK staff members with the necessary management and communication skills to help them to do the best job possible. This was done by both internal trainers as well as getting outside experts to share their learning.

However, during the past five years the training cell’s activities have increased tremendously. DSK staff now train people from other organisations including NGO’s as well as government staff.

The rooms in the training cell are also hired out as a venue to organisations as a form of income generation. Such income is put back into DSK’s project work.
