Unicef training

DSK provided training-of-trainers (TOT) to a core group regarding the operation and maintenance of water and sanitation facilities in 14 city corporation/pourashavas. Participants were local NGO, Pourashava and Urban Development Corporation (UDC) staff members. In total, four hundred fifty two (452) participants participated in TOT from 14 city corporations/ pourashavas. Training took place from June to August 2003.

DSK provided orientation on the training manual to concerned DPHE staff members in 14 City Corporation/Pourashavas. The total number of participants was forty two (42). Sub-Assistant Engineers and Mechanics were participants of this training. Orientation took place in August 2003.

ILO training

DSK has started to facilitate Entrepreneurship Development and Business Management (EDBM) training to women members of the micro credit scheme.

Supported by ILO the training course plan is to be completed over 18 months and will be in 20 batches. Every batch consists of 25 participants and therefore 500 women in total will take this training. Already 7 batches participated in the training from April to December 2003.
