Name of Position: Project Manager

Name of the Project: Securing Rights of Women Domestic Workers in Bangladesh (Securing Rights/SUNITI)

Qualification: The candidate should have Master’s Degree level of education preferable in Social Science with relevant background.

Job Summary: The Project Manager will be overall responsible for day-to-day program management and implementation at project hub office level. S/he will be the key person at project to ensure every programmatic and financial activity through his/her supervisees. S/he will monitor and supervise all activities done by other related employees both at field and office. S/he will maintain necessary coordination, liaison will DSK Head Office, Donors, respective GoB Officials and other local stakeholders.

Major Internal Contact: Finance & Admin Officer, Monitoring & Documentation Officer, Project Officers, Social Mobilizers, Support staff, Joint Director-Finance, Joint Director- Project, Executive Director, Procurement Team, gender & safeguard Team, HR & Admin units and others relevant Units/Divisions as required .

Supervise and monitor to: Finance & Admin Officer, Monitoring & Documentation Officer, Project Officers, Social Mobilizers & Support staff.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities-

A. Programmatic:

1. The Project Manager (PM) will remain accountable & responsible to the Joint Director, Projects (Focal Person-FP of this project). The performance the PM will be assessed by the FP of DSK in the process of Project Implementation. As programmatic part the incumbent will be working in the following scope;

  1. Managing and supervising the project team including field level staff members and ensuring staff development, mentoring, supervision & evaluation;
  2. Facilitating and ensuring capacity building activities of project team, stakeholders, and project target groups, especially the Domestic workers.
  3. Leading the proper cost-effective project implementation within the given timeline.
  4. Communicating and coordinating with multiple partners, donors, knowledge institutes, government, support services.
  5. Designing, organizing, facilitating meetings, workshop, training with diversified participants according to the project requirement.
  6. Developing and reviewing skill development tools, research tools and methods, concept notes etc.
  7. Ensure proper and timely monitoring of the project activities and planning accordingly
  8. Analyzing risks for the project implementation, its target groups, staff members in different changed context.
  9. Visiting and monitoring field extensively
  10. Represent the organization and the project in different forum, consortium, and network.
  11. PM will review, finalize and submit monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annual report and submit to FP of DSK, donors and other relevant authorities as per requirement of the project;

B. Financial & Logistics:

  1. He/ She will Supervise & Monitor the Administration and Financial activities an monthly basis
  2. Ensure adequate transparency, proper governance, and monitoring the expenditure of funds as per organization and donor compliance.
  3. Ensure audit feedback in time.
  4. Strictly follow and ensure organization’s policies and donor compliance for procurements.
  5. Ensure proper documentation of every expenditure according to the donor compliance and organization policy.

C. Quality Assurance:

  1. Responsible for maintaining overall quality of the project activities.
  2. Ensure proper implementation and documentation of every activities of the project by extensively visiting field offices and communities.  
  3. Check database are recorded correctly in the appropriate data profile forms/register/software
  4. Ensure valid and reliable data recording and reporting with assistance of related person
  5. Establish proper quality check of every activity, planning, reporting with regular internal communication and regular communication with donor.

D. Coordination & Public Relation:

1. Maintain liaison with GoB, local representative and other stakeholders.

2. Coordinate with OXFAM while they will pay visit to the field and update them about all activities as required.

3. Extend cooperation to OXFAM and other Partners accordingly.

D. Emergency situation/ Disaster:

1. If any emergency situation occurred where Securing Rights projects are going on, that time the employees those are doing their duties they should participate to help lead by project Manager.

2. As required PM will raising fund with support of donor.

Others:

1. Ensure Email & Internet, Software, Computer, printer use with required skill.

2. If any complex found that, then as early as possible communicate with senior management. Besides this maintain organization rules and regulation and encourage to other staff members.

3. Accountable  all types of works on related responsible person.
