Visit of WHH Country Director and Team to Project Sites in Camp-26 and Camp-24
On 5 May 2025, Honorable Mr. Kelvin Shingles, Country Director of WHH, along with the WHH team and Mr. Prodip Kumar Roy (Joint Director, DSK), visited DSK-WHH WASH Leda Rohingya Project interventions in Camp-26 and Camp-24.
During their visit, the team observed several key components of the project, including the ARO plant, MRF unit, DEWATS site, elevated handwashing station, elevated drying bed, and innovative use of non-recyclable materials for constructing privacy screens in front of latrines. They also reviewed the water distribution systems and monitored Free Residual Chlorine (FRC) testing at a tap stand.
Mr. Shingles graciously shared his reflections in our visitor’s book, stating:
“Thank you for receiving us and providing a comprehensive overview of the treatment plant. WHH is proud to support such an important contribution to addressing WASH needs in the camps. Please continue delivering safe water and seek opportunities to establish revolving funds to ensure sustainability and long-term operation.”
