DSK Observes the 35th Death Anniversary of Comrade Moni Singh
DSK observed the 35th death anniversary of Comrade Moni Singh with a commemorative meeting at its Head Office. Comrade Moni Singh was a leading figure of the communist movement in the Indian subcontinent, a key architect of the communist movement in Bangladesh, a fearless anti-British revolutionary, former president of the Communist Party of Bangladesh, hero of the Tanka Movement, advisor to the Government of Bangladesh during the Liberation War, and a lifelong champion of the rights of peasants, workers, and oppressed people.
The meeting was chaired by Valiant Freedom Fighter Professor Dr. Nur Mohammad Talukdar, President of DSK. Speakers included Professor Dr. ASM Golam Mortuza, Professor Dr. Taibul Hasan Khan, Dr. Dibalok Singha, Aktari Momtaz, and Md. Hamidul Islam. The session was presided over by Dr. Mahmudur Rahman, Director (Health).
A short documentary on Comrade Moni Singh’s life and struggle was screened, followed by cultural performances by DSK staff. The program reaffirmed Comrade Moni Singh’s enduring legacy and his vision of a just, democratic, and exploitation-free society.
