Vision, Mission and Objective

Vision: DSK envisions a nation free from injustice, inequality, exploitation, and poverty, where people live with dignity, security, diversity, and tolerance. It aims to be a partner of choice in the global movement to eradicate poverty.

Mission:

DSK aims to build strong community-based organizations (CBOs) led by poor women which will eventually be able to plan, prioritize and implement their development programs through the mobilization of the following combination of resources:

  • Family and community,
  • Government,
  • Donor agencies and
  • Concerned civil society.

Objectives

As per its constitution DSK is committed to the following objectives to achieve its vision and mission:

  • The DSK will facilitate the strengthening of the spirit of liberation war of 1971, universal humanitarian values and culture.
  • The DSK will implement programs influencing the lives of the poor, extreme poor, landless, day laborers, marginalized farmers and Adivasis especially focusing on disadvantaged women, adolescents and children!
  • As per the DSK constitution, it will move for the following:
  • Public health, primary health care, hospital services and family welfare activities.
  • Education and training programs for girls, dropouts, boys, youths and adults.
  • Implementation of employment-generating and socio-economic development activities for the poor and marginalized, including access to microfinance, social enterprises, and modern technology-based initiatives, to promote economic self-reliance.
  • Acceptance of grants/loans from government institutions, banks, companies, other financial institutions, as well as national and international organizations.
  • Implementation of Water supply, Sanitation and Hygiene education (WASH) programs.
  • Implementation of climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction activities.
  • Promotion of institutional and social initiatives, with an emphasis on raising public awareness about people’s rights, healthcare, disaster risk reduction (DRR), and climate change adaptation.
  • Strengthening and empowering community-based organizations led by poor, marginalized, and disadvantaged women.
  • Implement initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life, as well as promotion and advocacy for establishing the rights of the poor and disadvantaged.
  • Increasing public awareness about the roles of government institutions, local government, social organizations, and service providers in the development process, and fostering a collaborative approach.
  • Initiating efforts to provide employment opportunities for unemployed youth.
  • Utilize various publications and social media platforms (such as Facebook, YouTube, Videos, Websites, and others) to enhance public awareness of DSK activities.
  • Establishing fraternal relations with various national and international, social and humanitarian organizations to strengthen the organization’s activities.
  • Taking other complementary steps to advance all the objectives of the organization.
