DSK is responsible to prepare and distribute water bills covering the water points in low income settlements. Under the project, 7,729 water taps are being billed and delivered. During the bygone period, the bill collection rate was 82.5%. CBO engaged volunteers from the slum area are assisting in collection of the bills. They are paid an allowance on a daily basis. Last year during the surge of Corona pandemic, bill collection got reduced; however, nowadays that difficulty has been overcome. DWASA clients in low income settlements are encouraged to pay their bills when water supply is adequate; however, they are reluctant when they face scarcity of water.
