DSK Approves BDT 5,019.91 Crore Budget for FY 2026–2027

The General Body Members of Dushtha Shasthya Kendra (DSK) has approved a BDT 5,019.91 crore budget for the 2026–2027 fiscal year at a special budget meeting held on 27 June 2026 at the DSK Head Office in Dhaka.

The meeting was chaired by valiant freedom fighter Professor Dr. Nur Mohammad Talukder, President of DSK. Among those present were Professor Dr. Taibul Hasan Khan, Vice President; Professor Dr. A. S. M. Golam Mortuza, Secretary General; Habib Uddin Ahmed, Treasurer; Professor Md. Anwarul Islam, Organizing Secretary; former President Professor Dr. A. B. M. Abdullah; General Body members Muhammed Emdadul Haque, Dr. Laila Arjuman Banu, Mohammad Jasim Uddin, Dr. Moksedul Hamid, Md. Shaheedul Islam Liton, Dr. Shahidul Islam, Prof. Dr. Shakeel Akhtar, Professor Dr. Mahfuzul Haque, M. S. Siddiqui, Prof. Dr. Jebunnesa and Dr. Dibalok Singha, Executive Director of DSK, along with other members.

Under the approved budget, DSK will implement a broad range of development programmes across 29 districts of Bangladesh. These initiatives will focus on improving the lives of poor and ultra-poor communities, particularly women, Indigenous peoples, and marginalized populations living in haor, coastal, and disaster-prone areas. Key programme areas include healthcare, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), microfinance, livelihoods, disaster risk reduction and climate resilience, environmental and biodiversity conservation, relief and rehabilitation, non-formal education, prevention of gender-based violence, and public awareness.

The approval of the BDT 5,019.91 crore budget marks a significant milestone in DSK’s continued growth. It reflects the organization’s expanding capacity, wider programme reaches, and enduring commitment to improving the lives of marginalized and underserved communities across Bangladesh.
